The UUCC Youth Group will join Rev. Lori Staubitz for there Annual
"Beauty Walk to Worship". Our middle school teens and minister will be
engaged in a roadside clean-up from the intersection of Rt.235 in
California Maryland and Airport Road to the St. Mary's Higher Education
Center where we hold worship each Sunday. All are invited to join in this
annual outreach project. Shoes, gloves and trash bags needed. Event
Location: Meet at St. Mary's Higher Education Center at the Worship Entrance
to the Parking lot Time: 4:00- 6:30 pm

Announcing the "Empty Bowls Harvest Celebration"
The UUCC congregation will enjoy delicious homemade
soup served in beautiful bowls created by the talented participants of our
Youth Outreach group. The talented teen covenant group will prepare hearty
homemade soup to serve to the congregation during the social hour on this
date after the service.
In order to provide soup bowls for this luncheon, the
Youth outreach participants will spend time creating and glazing pottery
(with food-safe glaze) after the service under the direction of ceramic
artist and educator Alice Yutzy and Youth Outreach facilitator April Tucker.

The "Empty Bowls Harvest Celebration" will function as
a charitable activity for our congregation. UUCC congregation and
friends will have the opportunity to make a monetary donation to purchase
their favorite bowl or bowls ($10-$20 donation recommended) with the
proceeds going to SMILE Ecumenical Community Outreach in Lusby, MD.
Bowls may be pre-purchased if parents wish to purchase their own child's
bowl. Donations of canned and dry goods will also be accepted for
distribution at SMILE.
