Who Are We at UUCC?
The Unitarian
Universalist Congregation of the Chesapeake is a small congregation of families and individuals who have formed a
spiritual community with the goal of promoting opportunities for liberal
religious growth and expression for children, youth and adults.
It
is our mission to create a spiritual environment in which people of diverse
cultural, ethnic, racial, economic, and religious backgrounds can learn to
understand, respect, appreciate, and love one
another as well as promote social justice for all and for our environment.
We support the individual spiritual
journeys of our members while at the same time interacting in ways that
promote a healthy community.
Our ministry focuses on Sunday worship services. Our second area of focus involves small groups
getting together to explore issues of spirituality as well as how we can
best live our faith in our daily lives. This includes taking care of one
another and making a difference in the world as we make the world around us
a better place in which to live, work and play. |
